Avatar 3.0: How Hello Park Is Building Repeat Visits Into the Family Entertainment Experience

Hello Park is beginning the network-wide rollout of Avatar 3.0, the next generation of its proprietary avatar platform, across its international family entertainment park network.

The rollout will happen in stages, with the first new functionality being introduced in parks starting this September.

But Avatar 3.0 is more than another digital feature or interactive attraction.

It has a clear business objective: increase the percentage of guests who return to Hello Park and increase the frequency of repeat visits.

For a family entertainment center (FEC), this is one of the most important challenges in building a sustainable business. Attracting a family for the first time matters. Giving a child a reason to ask to come back matters even more.

Avatar 3.0 is designed around that idea.

From a Single Park Visit to Continuous Progression

The Avatar Platform has been part of the Hello Park concept for several generations, connecting physical play with a digital layer inside the park.

Children create their own digital characters and develop them as they play.

With Avatar 3.0, that experience begins to extend beyond a single visit.

The first stage introduces a fundamental new capability: children can save their avatars and continue developing the same characters when they return to Hello Park.

The game no longer has to end when the family leaves the park.

On the next visit, the child can return to the same avatar and continue progressing level by level. The first clear challenge is to reach Level 20.

In simple terms, the avatar is still there, waiting for its player to return.

This turns separate visits into parts of one continuing journey.

Why Repeat Visits Matter in the FEC Business

For family entertainment centers, attracting new customers is only part of the equation.

The long-term performance of an entertainment venue also depends on guest retention and repeat visit frequency.

Does a family return after its first experience?

And if it does, how frequently does it come back?

This is why Hello Park approaches interactive technology differently from simply adding more digital attractions to an FEC.

Technology should not only make an attraction look more impressive. It should influence how guests interact with the entire venue.

A new attraction can give a child another reason to visit.

Unfinished progression can give them a reason to return.

When children have their own characters and progress that continues from one visit to another, the next trip to the park becomes a continuation of the previous one rather than an entirely separate experience.

For an FEC operator, the product objective is clear:

→ increase the percentage of guests who return;
→ increase the frequency of their repeat visits.

Bringing Video Game Logic Into Physical Entertainment

Progression is one of the fundamental mechanics behind video and mobile games.

Players return because there is something to continue: a character to develop, another level to reach or a journey that is not yet complete.

Hello Park brings elements of this logic into a physical family entertainment environment — without putting the child behind a personal screen.

Children still run, jump, explore, collaborate and interact with the physical environment around them.

The digital layer connects these activities into a broader game experience.

Avatar 3.0 takes this concept further.

Progress can now continue not only between different attractions and experiences inside the park, but from one park visit to the next.

This is an important distinction in the development of phygital entertainment.

Technology becomes more than an individual interactive attraction. It becomes part of the venue's guest engagement and retention strategy.

Avatar 3.0 Will Roll Out Across the Hello Park Network in Stages

Hello Park is not releasing every element of Avatar 3.0 at once.

The platform will be introduced in stages across the international Hello Park network, allowing the experience to develop progressively.

The first stage focuses on avatar persistence: saving a child's character and allowing the progression to continue during future visits.

Additional elements of Avatar 3.0 will be introduced gradually as the platform evolves.

We are deliberately not revealing the complete Avatar 3.0 roadmap yet.

But the direction is clear.

Hello Park is moving beyond a collection of interactive attractions toward a connected phygital entertainment ecosystem, where physical activity, digital identity, progression and multiple park visits can become parts of one continuous experience.

From Interactive Attractions to a Phygital Entertainment Ecosystem

The family entertainment industry has spent years competing to create a better first visit.

But the next question for an FEC operator is just as important:

What makes the guest come back?

That question increasingly influences how we develop the Hello Park product.

New attractions and content remain important. But we also want to build mechanics that connect one visit with the next.

Avatar 3.0 is another step in that direction.

Our goal is not simply to create several hours of entertainment inside a family entertainment center.

It is to create a world that children want to return to.

A world where their character still exists, their progress continues and there is always another level ahead.

The visit ends. The game doesn't.
